South Orlando YMCA – Orlando Florida
The renovation and addition of the 23,000 square foot South Orlando YMCA was RUSH Construction’s third major renovation and construction project for the Central Florida YMCA. Especially challenging, was the constructing of the architecturally difficult 9,000 square foot elliptical wellness area. The work included the demolition of an existing 2-story concrete and block structure, asbestos abatement and the complete renovation, remodeling, and structural shoring of the remaining facility. The completed project includes a new gymnasium, locker rooms, wellness areas and a new teen and child development center.
