As an Administrative Assistant at RUSH Marine since February 2022, Gina Wolters supports project managers, estimators, field staff, and management in their work. This includes assisting with subcontracts, change orders, insurance, estimating and proposal support, maintenance of Procore, and various other clerical duties.
With extensive experience in the construction industry, Gina describes herself as “open-minded and a quick learner, all with a positive attitude.” She has developed a diverse skill set working in roofing, personnel management, AR/AP, and office management. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, she also has experience as a design consultant, working with contractors and clients in building custom homes.
Gina chose to work with RUSH because of the company’s reputation for philanthropy and its core value of integrity, which aligns with her personal morals. She was also attracted to RUSH’s family-oriented corporate culture, an attribute she felt would be important for a long-term career. “My first impression is: ‘Wow, they really do feel like a family and genuinely care about every employee,’” says Wolters. “I am confident in my choice to pursue a career here and I am excited to learn.”
Gina’s favorite RUSH Marine project so far is the North Cargo Berth 3 Rehabilitation and Modernization project for Canaveral Port Authority. “I was able to visit the site and see Marine construction in action, ask questions, and learn quite a bit about how Marine construction works,” reflects Gina. “It’s exciting to be a part of major construction at Port Canaveral, which is such an important district in our area.”
A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Gina moved to Florida where she met her husband and stayed to raise her two young boys who play various sports all year round. She has a large family and spends most of her free time with them. Her favorite hobbies include attending professional sports games, being near the water, cooking, and supporting her local church.
