One of his favorite projects to date is the Tavares Seaplane Base and Marina, constructed after Hurricane Irma damaged much of the marina structures in 2017. According to Manny, this project really showcased RUSH Marine’s ability to perform diverse, challenging projects in addition to heavy civil marine port work.
Born in Port Hueneme, California, Manny spent his childhood living overseas as a “military brat” until his family settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where his parents and two sisters still live. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Florida, he spent his professional career working in marine construction. He has lived in the Caribbean and Middle East working on various projects. A big fan of water activities, Manny enjoys surfing, paddle boarding, and swimming. He also likes traveling, camping, cooking and watching American football.
