Celebrating the Class of 2025: Eduardo A. Rabel Scholarships Awarded to Four Astronaut High School Students

As the Class of 2025 wraps up an important chapter and looks ahead to new opportunities, the RUSH Family of Companies is proud to recognize excellence, leadership, and promise through the 2nd annual Eduardo A. Rabel Scholarships—awarded this year to four exceptional students from Astronaut High School.
Congratulations to the 2025 AHS recipients:
▶️ Gabriel Focht
▶️ Ashvi Patel
▶️ Grayce Meredith
▶️ Jordyn Taylor
These students were selected for their academic achievement, leadership qualities, and their commitment to making a positive impact on the world around them.
The Eduardo A. Rabel Scholarships were established in 2024 to mark the 40th Anniversary of RUSH Construction and to honor the enduring legacy of RUSH founder Eduardo A. Rabel. Eduardo’s life story is a powerful testament to resilience and gratitude. As a young teenager, he fled Cuba alone during Fidel Castro’s regime through Operation Pedro Pan—a mission that brought unaccompanied minors to the United States in search of safety and opportunity. The kindness he received along the way shaped his values and inspired a lifetime of giving back.
In that same spirit, these scholarships serve as a tribute to Eduardo’s journey and as an investment in the bright futures of students in our community.
From all of us at RUSH—congratulations to Gabriel, Ashvi, Grayce, Jordyn, and the entire Astronaut High School Class of 2025. We’re proud to support your dreams and can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next.
