RUSH-LINK Joint Venture (RLJV) was awarded a contract by URS Federal Technical Services Inc. for the Stabilization of West Security Fence at Fuel Storage Area (FSA #1) at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

Task 1 Base Bid 1A – Stabilize the west side of the fence along the west side area of the Fuel Storage Area #1. The fence which is in a secure area is approximately 440 ft, and approximately 300 ft of the fence will be replaced. Task 2 Bid 1A included repair of crash gate, replacing 173 line posts, corner post, replacing and securing 40 feet of fabric. One horizontal post was also inserted to prevent alligator entry.

In addition, the RLJV constructed mantrap post supports at 5 locations to ensure poles received additional support. Installed 1,000 LF of bottom tension wire on the inside of the fence, and repaired 1,000 LF of existing barbed wire fence replacing 900 LF of barbed wire and six (6) barb arms.

All work was completed ahead of the scheduled 129 calendar days.
