The Commissary Warehouse is the first of its kind at Kennedy Space Center a LEED Certified Building. This facility was designed and constructed with the goal of achieving a LEED Silver Certification, which has officially been obtained from the U.S. Green Building. The 10,000 square foot $1.9 million dollar project includes site work, paving, utilities, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, interior finishes and a metal building structure. It also includes large, drive-in coolers and freezers in support of the food service operations at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
