This Design/Build GMP project entailed the complete design and construction of a 40,500 SF Airplane Seating Manufacturing Facility with administrative and employee locker rooms as well as a 14,000 SF Administrative and Engineering Support Facility. The project included the full development of a 15 acre site, including all underground utilities for both facilities, parking lots, tractor trailer access to loading dock areas and integral college campus-like landscaping. The Production Facility includes 35,000 SF of open production area with fully supported mechanical and electrical support systems. The Administrative and Engineering Support Facility is designed to house all engineering and administrative functions on the Embraer AST campus, including a main area cafeteria, meeting rooms, executive suites, engineering and administrative offices. Both facilities are concrete tilt wall / steel construction, designed to be environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
