Exploration Park Innovation Central, Kennedy Space Center, Florida
RUSH Construction was the Construction Manager for the Pizzuti Companies who partnered with Space Florida on this $6.2 million project to develop Phase 1 of Exploration Park as a mixed-use technology and commerce park at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The first phase of Exploration Park’s development encompassed a 60 acre parcel of unimproved land. The site development encompassed construction of interior roads, sewer, water, storm drainage, electrical/communication duct banks, site lighting and signage and power distribution. Approximately 200,000 CY of fill was hauled from off-site and on-site sources to raise the existing grades to allow for 5 initial and 4 follow-on building sites. The park is serviced with all necessary utilities and emergency services, and will offer sites ready for development and/or leases within dedicated or multi-tenant facilities.
