This contract involved demolition of an existing 2 story concrete beam/block structure including asbestos abatement, complete renovation and remodeling of the remaining structure (down to the structural support elements) and integrating a new architecturally challenging elliptical 9,000 SF concrete beam/block addition. The new facility allows for approximately 24,000 SF of usable floor space as well as a new asphalt parking lot and fully landscaped exterior. The majority of the construction specialties were involved in this project. Due to initial budget concerns, RUSH worked extensively with the Owner, A&E and Subcontractors to provide needed Value Engineering options that saved the Owner over $250K in construction costs without affecting the project’s form or function. The contract was completed within budget and ahead of schedule.
