William Chivers currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the RUSH Family of Companies, which includes RUSH Construction, RUSH Facilities, and RUSH Marine. He joined the RUSH organization in 1997 and served as both President & CEO of the construction division until May 2024. Mr. Chivers has worked in the construction industry since 1977, and as a licensed General Contractor, he has been involved with a number of major projects in Brevard County for clients such as NASA, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Harris Corporation, and Parrish Medical Center, just to name a few.
Mr. Chivers has held an active Class “A” Florida state Certified General Contractor license since 1984. During his career, he has been recognized by NASA as a recipient of several Group Achievement Awards and was named a Space Coast Business Leader of the Year for Real Estate & Construction in 2017.
He and his wife, Pat, recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary and are the proud parents of their daughter, Mandy, son-in-law John, and grandchildren, Rylie and Connor.
“To whom much is given, much is required” is a motto that sums up the desire of the Chivers’ to give back to their community and those less fortunate. After supporting the CACB for a number of years, Mr. Chivers felt that the next step was to further support the CACB by serving as Agent 007 – James Bond. His obvious choice to serve as his “Ms. Moneypenny” is his wife, as she shares his heart for assisting those in need, especially children.
As a lifelong resident of Brevard County, Mr. Chivers enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and participating in philanthropic events, including as a past contestant on “Dancing with Brevard.” He volunteers his time and talents at his church, Park Avenue Baptist, and has served the community on the Board of Directors of the Florida East Coast Associated Builders & Contractors, the Titusville YMCA, Career Source Brevard, and the Jess Parrish Medical Foundation.
