The Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices by transporting them to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Last month, RUSH Construction Inc. sponsored Senior Project Manager Mike Lapinski to serve as a “Guardian Escort” aboard the June 27th, 2015, Space Coast Honor Flight.

Mike is a veteran himself (1st Gulf War) and his father was a WWII veteran. Tony Carpenter (LINK Contracting) and his father also participated as Guardian Escorts on the same flight, at their own expense.

Space Coast Honor Flight‘s (SCHF) mission is to take World War II and Korean War Veterans to visit their War Memorials in Washington D.C.  This is a unique opportunity to show our gratitude to these Heroes who made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.
