Investing in the Next Generation of the Space Coast Workforce
At RUSH, we believe that building strong communities starts with investing in people. That’s why we’re proud to support programs and events that help students explore career opportunities, develop valuable skills, and connect with local employers.
This spring, members of the RUSH team participated in two events focused on preparing students for successful futures right here on the Space Coast.
In April, RUSH Family of Companies Team Resources Manager Katherine Yuke attended the Astronaut High School Career Expo, where she spent the day speaking with 11th and 12th grade students about career opportunities in construction, marine services, and facilities management. The event provided students with a chance to learn about local industries, ask questions, and gain insight into potential career paths after graduation.
More recently, RUSH attended the Brevard Public Schools Career & Technical Education (CTE) Recruitment Fair in Cocoa Beach. The event brought together students from Astronaut High School, Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School, Merritt Island High School, Space Coast Junior/Senior High School, and Titusville High School. Many of these students are already gaining hands-on experience, working toward industry certifications, and building the skills needed for today’s workforce.
Both events reinforced something we see time and time again: the future is bright. The students we met demonstrated curiosity, determination, and a genuine interest in learning about the opportunities available to them.
As a company committed to the Space Coast, RUSH is proud to support initiatives that connect education with industry and help prepare the next generation of skilled professionals. Whether through career fairs, internships, mentorship, or workforce development partnerships, we look forward to continuing our role in helping students discover pathways to rewarding careers.
The next generation is already hard at work, and we’re excited to see what they accomplish.
